Functionalities of the study portal

The IT system AlmaWeb supports the organisation of studies and teaching at Leipzig University both technically and structurally.

For students, AlmaWeb offers access to all important/student functions via a Web portal such as:

Please ensure that the personal data stored there is correct and up-to-date. After a move you should, for instance, enter the new address in the system as soon as possible. Forwarding messages sent via AlmaWeb to your university email address is also very worthwhile. From the university email address, you can in turn set up a forwarding function to your private email address.

The entire student administration of both the Bachelor's degree programmes and the Master's degree programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Management Science is performed centrally via the campus management system AlmaWeb.

For lecturers AlmaWeb offers access via a Web portal to all important functions for the administration of courses and examinations, such as:

  • Overview of own courses with a list of dates,
  • Insight into the constantly updated lists of course participants,
  • Option to contact registered students,
  • Provision of course materials for registered students,
  • Overview of the registered examination participants,
  • direct entry of grades,
  • Download electronically submitted theses.

The individual functions are presented in more detail in the Click guide for lecturers. The process for downloading the theses is described in a separate Click guide (theses). Registered lecturers automatically have access to all these functions. If necessary, deputies (for example for secretariats or academic staff) can also be set up on request. You will find the necessary Application form to this end here.
