You have the opportunity to write your bachelor's and/or master's thesis in research areas of the chair, especially in Financial Innovations/FinTech, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Social CRM and Smart Business Process Management. The focus can range from literature work to surveys to the realization of prototypes.
Seminar Scientific Work
The seminar "Scientific Work" takes place every six months and is aimed at all students who would like to write their Bachelor's or Master's thesis at the Chair of Application Systems. Here you will again get all relevant information about writing scientific papers at the chair and you can ask specific questions. Participation is strongly recommended!
Topics advertised for student work
Systematic literature research „decentral autonomous organisation“
- Basics of DAO and their fields of application.
-
Classification of existing DAO (e.g. table DAO and classification according to the developed classification).
Systematic literature research and classification of dApps
- Fundamentals of blockchain and ecosystems emerging on it (consider alternative terms such as token economy in the search).
- Identify existing or emerging ecosystems through the basic knowledge built.
- Table dApps and classify them according to the classification made.
Systematic literature search and classification of non-fungible token
- Fundamentals of NFT and the underlying technology.
- Identify existing or emerging ecosystems as well as existing and future application potentials through the basic knowledge built.
Systematic literature research and classification of blockchain ecosystems.
- Fundamentals of blockchain and ecosystems existing on it (consider alternative terms such as token economy in the search).
- Identify existing or emerging ecosystems through the foundational knowledge built. Explain how the different systems interact with each other.
- Develop a system for classification and implementation (table of ecosystems and their classification according to own classification).
Systematically review the literature on classification schemes for distributed ledger systems
- Identify relevant literature and develop possible classification schemes (include alternative terms in search e.g. archetype).
- Compare the different schemes
- Discuss which classification makes sense from which point of view
Food Chain – Blockchain requirements for implementing an end to end food supply chain
- Fundamentals of blockchain and supply chain management (supply chain management).
- Elaborate requirements for an end to end supply chain based on a Digital Ledger Technology (DLT) system.
- Aligning foodchain requirements with DLT (or distributed database) design and configuration decisions
Introductory Blockchain/DLT Literature
Introductory literature methodology
Entry search: GoogleScholar -> keyword search string (For the work, please use other search engines as well)
If interested, write directly to Simon Kolb.
We will arrange a meeting and the contents of an exposé.
