Information Systems Institute

The Information Systems Institute (IWI) was founded in 2004. It comprises of four professorships and the Faculty Service Centre IT.

Professorships

Application Systems Professorship

Our teaching and research content concerns the design of digitalisation in business and administration. This includes business management application systems in contact with customers and suppliers.

Information Management Professorship

The professorship addresses topics such as enterprise application integration, management of large software systems, use of web techniques, application programming, service science and much more.

Software Development Professorship

We teach and research the development, maintenance and care of software systems in business and administration. The focus is on visual software analytics, software product lines, e-learning and e-assessment.

Studies

IWI offers the B.Sc. Business Information Systems and M.Sc. Business Information Systems degree programmes. Both degree programmes have a high practical relevance. Students can network with companies and public institutions at an early stage.

The Faculty Service Centre IT offers comprehensive support to the institutes, professorships and central facilities of the Faculty of Economics and Management Science in the procurement, operation and use of IT in the broadest sense.
