A new special issue on the Metaverse has now been published in the journal Internet Research. Titled "The Opportunities and Challenges in the Metaverse", the guest editors Xusen Cheng (Renmin University of China, Beijing, China), Jian Mou (Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea), Xiao-Liang Shen (Wuhan University, Wuhan, China), Triparna de Vreede (University of South Florida, Tampa, USA) and Rainer Alt (Leipzig University) have organized a selection of 12 articles, which are summarized in the guest editors editorial.
