The European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) took place between June 11 and 16 at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. A total of 1023 manuscripts was submitted to the 25 conference tracks with 304 being accepted. All papers were peer-reviewed and it has been an honor that the program chairs decided to award a Best Reviewer Award to Rainer Alt from the Chair of Application Systems.

It is considered one of the most prestigious gatherings of information systems academics and research-oriented practitioners in the world." AIS is the worldwide professional organization in the field of information systems.
