Leipzig University and the SEPT Competence Center launched the third edition of Export Management Advanced Training (EMAT) program in October 2022.

The EMAT project is a combination of acquiring theoretical knowledge about international business development and export management as well as implementing it into practical projects with partner companies from Saxony. A very important aspect is the experience and knowledge that our international participants bring from their respective home countries and share with the local partner companies.

In total, during this edition of the training, 6 working groups developed market research reports for 6 companies from Saxony with international focus: Packwise GmbH, TinkerToys GmbH, Norafin GmbH, Rollstuhlbau Bräunig, Neltrading.de and HILO Café.

The next edition of the Export Management Advanced Training will be launched on the 14 of April 2023.

This time we asked our participants for sharing their impressions after the EMAT project:

“I thoroughly enjoyed the Advanced Export Management Training course. It provided hands-on training and both holistic overview as well as deep dive into the intricacies of international trade and market entry strategies. Many thanks to my great teammates for their professionalism and work ethic, to our partner company for providing us with a challenging real-life project and to SEPT for organizing this course. It was a great experience.” Mladen Manolov – SEPT MBA student, Leipzig University

"The EMAT is a well-designed learning program that gives us access to all the topics of knowledge and information that we will need for practicing export and import and followed a real project with a German company that we can practice what we have learned, and this is a great opportunity to hone our skills. In addition, it is so great to work with team members who have the same interest and learn from each others' experiences too. I gained a lot from this program." Mingjun Guo – SEPT MBA student, Leipzig University

“It is my fervent belief that the EMAT program was adequate  in providing relevant topics on export management. It was well coordinated and the trainings were very practical and engaging. I liked the group project work as it gave me a sense of fulfillment developing a Business Export Strategy and Bidding Model for a real business, that the founder found very useful. I hereby recommend this program to anyone wishing to enhance their knowledge in export management.” Muhammed Alieu Barry – SEPT MBA student, Leipzig University
