On 20.10.2023, the kick-off event of the 7th Cohort of the Pre-Doc Award took place at Villa Tillmanns. The Institute of Business and Economics Education is funded in this cohort as a trio consisting of Elisa Wagner, Dr. Jacqueline Schmidt and Prof. Dr. Roland Happ.
The Pre-Doc Award is based in the Vice Rectorate for Talent Development and has been awarded annually since 2017 to 12-15 teams consisting of graduates with very good degrees as well as PostDocs. One of the goals is to promote young scientists at an early stage and to strengthen the supervision skills of postdocs. The funding includes an employment as a research assistant (19h/week) for 12 months. During this period, the teams work on the preparation of a doctoral project as well as the acquisition of follow-up funding and are supported by workshops and consulting services.
