The protein design assistant from the Leipzig-based start-up is an AI-supported platform that is designed to function autonomously. Tasks that would normally take weeks can be solved within a few hours. To do this, the program accesses large amounts of data and models that have been scientifically validated.
“Put simply, we are developing a kind of ChatGPT for protein design. A platform that creates an independent co-scientist by providing specific software tools - a collegial partner who is more than just a tool,” explains pharmacist Fabian Liessmann. He is a doctoral student at the Institute for Drug Development at the Faculty of Medicine and co-founder of AI-Driven Therapeutics.
The AI-Driven Therapeutics team was supported by Leipzig University's start-up initiative SMILE from the very beginning.
