The aim of this module is to teach the methods and tools for efficient management of biogenic material and energy flows. The students acquire the necessary skills to gain a solid basic knowledge of material flow management and bioenergy technologies.

Short description

The module provides an introduction to the main theoretical and practical aspects and concepts of current methods for appropriate management of material flows. It focuses in particular on LCA, as the basis for the latest methods for assessing the potential impacts of products, processes and services.

The module provides the methodological basis of LCA according to the ISO standard norms while providing practical examples for applying the methods for inventory analysis and subsequent impacts for assessment models.
