As part of this event, our team had the pleasure of engaging with educators and students from European universities for the two-day dissemination event centred on Entrepreneurship Education. The event brought together professors, researchers, students, and stakeholders for a packed agenda of insightful discussions and knowledge-sharing.
The event opened with a welcome from Prof. Artur Silva (Vice Rector) and Prof. Ana Veloso (Director DeCA). Then, participants were engaged in the dissemination session, which shared the project results, experiences, and knowledge with a broad audience of professors and students at the University of Aveiro. After a comprehensive project presentation, participants engaged in group discussions that brought fresh perspectives and new ideas to the table. Entrepreneurship education emerged as a particularly resonant topic. Kevin Ferreira, a founder of the initiative “Ginasio do Empreendedor”, delivered a passionate presentation on the transformative impact of entrepreneurship on kids. He emphasised the importance of mentoring and support in guiding the next generation of European innovators. “Entrepreneurship is a mindset,” he said. “And there’s no age limit for that.”
The second day was filled with seminars, round tables, and thought-provoking talks. Eva Andrade (Science and Technology Manager, UACoopera, University of Aveiro) shed light on the university’s support initiatives for start-ups and spin-off creation, particularly the STEP UP program and Entrepreneurship Lab, which demonstrate how universities can go beyond the classroom to support entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Anna Laska - Lesniewicz from Lodz University of Technology, Poland, continued the momentum by introducing a systemic design approach to problem-solving, aimed at generating long-term, sustainable solutions to today’s complex challenges.
The event concluded with a roundtable discussion on digital transformation in education. Students, entrepreneurs, professors, and researchers exchanged ideas on how best to integrate digital media strategies into educational systems. The session closed with a thought-provoking question: “What will entrepreneurship education look like in five years?”
The final event in this series will take place in Leipzig (June 17–18), hosted by the University of Leipzig. We can’t wait to continue the journey!
