The aim of the SMWK expert commission is to put the Saxonian universities in an even better position in the future to make their research results usable for business and society, e.g. through spin-offs or product development with partner companies in the economy.

This process of transferring university know-how into practical applications requires strategic support and a coherent concept, which a 15-member expert advisory board with representatives from the universities, the Saxon Ministry of Economics, the Chamber of Commerce, research institutions, the startup scene and founder networks, as well as companies and investors, will develop in the coming months.
