At its traditional New Year's reception at the beginning of January, the Meissen Region District Crafts Association awarded Professor Utz Dornberger from Leipzig University with the District Craftsmen's Medal of Honor.
Professor Dornberger received the award for his extraordinary commitment to the WIR! project - change through innovation in the region. For the deserving academic, it is a sign of recognition from the skilled trades and a mandate for further scientific work outside the metropolitan areas in the Free State of Saxony.
