In September, SEPT Competence Center at Leipzig University hosts about 50 guests from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America in four different events, financed by DAAD.

From 31.08 to 04.09, students from Ghana, Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe participate in Green Economy Study Tour. During this time the students will learn develop their green business ideas and visit different German entrepreneurs.

During the first week of September, the SDG-Partnerships 2023-2026, will have its kick-off event. This project will feature the participation of three esteemed partner universities hailing from diverse regions. These institutions, representing Peru, Colombia, and Costa Rica, bring forth a dynamic fusion of academic perspectives and cultural backgrounds. The project encompasses a comprehensive spectrum, addressing innovation, wellbeing, and education to propel sustainable development goals.

From 4th to 25th of September 25 innovators, doers and entrepreneurs from 15 countries participate in the IDEA Summer School. All of them further develop their projects. All of the entrepreneurship, innovation and education projects aim at sustainable solutions in the participants home countries. SEPT colleagues as well as external experts will offer learning experiences and networking opportunities to the idea owners. SMILE coaches will share their insights and accompany the young scholars on their individual project journeys while they are here in Leipzig.

In the last week of September, three start-up teams from Benin, Ghana and Tunisia will join EXIST-workshop in which they develop their social and green project ideas with support of SMILE coaches at Leipzig University. Ultimately the proposals will be submitted to EXIST Business Start-up Grant.

With these activities Leipzig University's SEPT Competence Center is paving the way for global collaboration and sustainable entrepreneurship. As continents converge in spirit and purpose, the vision for a greener, more connected future takes shape.
