The movie is about Afro-German identities and the connection between former communist Eastern Germany (GDR) and Mozambique. In the second half of the 20th century a big number of contract workers from Mozambique came to Eastern Germany to work in factories and other sectors of the industry. Now, the documentary traces the extraordinary family story of one of these workers whose Mozambiquan-German daughter comes to see him in his home country long after he has returned.
