During their visit to Ho Chi Minh City, the team met with potential partners in Vietnam and received hints to successfully enter the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian markets.

On the 20th of June, within the framework of the International Startup Campus program (ISC) of SEPT Competence Center at Leipzig University, a German Start-ups delegation visited the AHK Vietnam - Delegation of the German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam, German Business Incubator as well as the European Chamber of Commerce – EuroCham Vietnam.

Mr. Björn Koslowski, Deputy Chief Representative at AHK Vietnam, gave an overview to the group about the German companies settled in the German Haus (Deutsches Haus) in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as presented particularities of Vietnam, possible ways of entering the market as well as differences in business culture in comparison to Europe.

AHK Vietnam also organized a mentoring program for the group linking the German start-ups with German or Vietnamese companies, giving them the opportunity to exchange and build new contacts.

Moreover, the delegation visited the European Chamber of Commerce. There Ms. Delphine Rousselet, Executive Director of EuroCham, gave start-ups an overview of the advocacy activities for its members through voicing business interests to the Vietnamese Government as well as about sector committees within the EuroCham.

Afterward, Ms. Yasmina Depas, Project Manager of the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition 2022 that will take place between the 28th and 30th of November, highlighted that GEFE 2022 will be a good opportunity for the next group of German Start-ups visiting Vietnam in November, especially focused on green technologies for exchange expertise and experience regarding green economy solutions and building new relationships during the event.
