Thanks to the IB Pakistan project funded by the DAAD, faculty members, Ph.D. and MBA students from the International SEPT Competence Center at Leipzig University and Institute of Business Administration Karachi met in Pakistan in a very fruitful research seminar.

During 10 days, participants from both universities presented their research projects related to the internationalization of SMEs. They exchanged experiences and received gainful feedback from experienced professors. Among diverse activities, students took part in workshops on scientific publication, export management training, and excursions to Pakistani exporting SMEs. Complementing this adventure, our students enjoyed the local cuisine, visited iconic museums and wonderful beach sunsets.

This event was the first step to develop a scientific community, establish networks among young Pakistani and German researchers, and strengthen the scientific cooperation between Leipzig University and IBA Karachi. Thanks to IBA Karachi for the cultural and knowledge exchange, the warm hospitality, and for making this a memorable time. We are very happy to welcome five Pakistani researchers in 2022 to present their findings in the SEPT Symposium on International Business Research in Leipzig, Germany!
