Despite the pandemic, the relationship between the city of Leipzig and Vietnam has strengthened and deepened over the past two years. On the 26th of April, the SEPT Competence Center together with the association Deutsch-Vietnamesisches-Haus and the Office for Economic Development of the City of Leipzig organized the event “Exchange of experiences between German and Vietnamese startups and companies”.

During the evening German and Vietnamese companies that are already successfully doing business in both countries got the opportunity to exchange about their experiences and took the chance to make new partnerships.

Dr. Erik Wende, Managing Director of EWERK Group shared market insights from the perspective of German company looking to build sustainable relationships with suppliers. On the other side Ms. Ly Ma, Managing Director of LEBUS GmbH presented her experiences in Germany from the perspective of a Vietnamese entrepreneur.

A group of German start-ups taking part in the market exploration trip to Vietnam in June organized by SEPT as well as group of Vietnamese startups visiting Leipzig and looking for business opportunities in Europe have been introduced during the event. The startups are looking for cooperation partners as well as mentors in both countries. After the presentations all participants had opportunity for networking and exchange during the get-together.
