From March 8th to 10th, the Fit4export unit of the SEPT Competence Center hosted a Training of Trainers (ToT) event as part of the ERASMUS+ Project "Enabling Social Entrepreneurs scale their Impact Internationally (ESESII)".

During the three-day event in Leipzig, 11 trainers from the six consortium partners participated in workshops and learning spaces around the internationalization of social entrepreneurs and how this topic is approached in the curricula and training methodologies targeting this group.

The event, which was of a hybrid nature to encourage the participation of trainers also at a distance, was attended by representatives of the SEPT Competence Center (Germany), Euclid Network (The Netherlands), WU Vienna (Austria), MateraHub (Italy), Synthesis (Cyprus), and the Social Impact Award- SIA (Austria).

These training sessions were conducted in the framework of the ESESII project, which aims to develop an innovative curriculum for the internationalization of social entrepreneurs, and to provide an up-skilling toolkit for social enterprise support organizations and Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers. In addition, it aims to establish policy recommendations for policymakers at the EU level and national stakeholders.

In September, trainers will gather again in Matera (Italy) to conduct the first curricula pilot with 24 social entrepreneurs aiming to expand to international markets. An open call to participate in this pilot will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
