The Campus to Career Summer School is an in-person program designed to support international Master’s students within Leipzig city as they transition from student life to professional life in Germany.
ABOUT CAMPUS TO CAREER
Settling in Germany goes far beyond academics. From navigating housing and cultural norms to launching a career, international students face a range of personal and professional challenges. This program offers a structured yet personalized approach to overcoming those hurdles—with a focus on building career readiness and integration skills.
International academics need more than language skills to succeed—they need targeted preparation that goes deeper. This includes understanding the expectations of the German job market, navigating its vibrant start-up ecosystem, and developing a strong professional identity tailored to the realities of working in Germany.
Through weekly sessions with real experts, practical tools, and collaborative peer learning, participants build a clear career roadmap, strengthen their employability, and gain the confidence to thrive in Germany’s dynamic work environment. Fully funded by the DAAD, the program includes German language course to support long-term integration and career growth.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The Campus to Career Summer School follows a clear structure that mirrors the journey of international students who are settling, integrating, and preparing for long-term life and work in Germany.
- Interactive Workshops: Weekly practical sessions led by career coaches, recruiters, alumni, and professionals from the startup and corporate world.
- Peer Accountability: Students choose accountability partners to reflect with, exchange feedback, and stay on track throughout the summer.
- Capstone Project: Each participant designs and presents their personalized Integration & Career Plan in Germany, combining what they’ve learned into an actionable roadmap.
All content is designed with real-world application in mind — helping students take action, not just take notes.
