The YES! - Young Economic Solutions competition offers pupils the opportunity to develop and present their own ideas in collaboration with researchers on the basis of evidence and to discuss them with other teams. The Institute of Business Education and Management Training also supports committed school teams in this innovative format.

As part of the YES! - Young Economic Solutions 2025 competition, Elisa Wagner and Sebastian Heidel from the Institute of Business Education and Management Training are supervising two teams of pupils. The aim of the competition is to link research and school and to find solutions to economic, social and ecological issues. The two teams of pupils are addressing issues relating to financial education and have developed different approaches to solutions.

The regional final east took place on 4 June in Berlin, where one of the two teams (an 11th grade team from BBS Burgdorf) competed. There were nine teams in total, two of which will now go through to the national final.

We are proud to announce: Our team was able to convince with their idea and is one of the winners. Congratulations to the pupils and their teacher Dagmar Köhler!

The second team has also come up with a promising idea and will be competing in the regional final south-east in Munich at the beginning of July. We wish them every success!
