The InnoVETPlus funding programme was launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) at the kick-off event on 6 and 7 November 2024. Network leader Prof Dr Roland Happ and sub-project leader Prof Dr Olga Zlatkin-Troitschanskaia were present in Berlin and were able to network with the new projects in the InnoVETPlus funding line. Together with Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, Qualifizierungszentrum Riesa and the Gutenberg Digital Hub, Leipzig University (Institute for Business Education and Management Training and the SEPT Competence Centre) is represented in the funding initiative with the Start2train project.
The overarching goal of Start2train is to sensitise start-ups in the two model regions of Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate to the offer of vocational training and to recruit people interested in training for the start-ups for several cohorts. As emphasised by the BMBF, this requires innovative and flexible ideas over the project duration from 1 August 2024 to 31 December 2027.
