SMILE-supported start-up EST3R optimizes the molecular recycling of plastic waste

 The SMILE start-up initiative at the University of Leipzig is supporting the project. With the enzyme PHL7, biological PET recycling could become possible much faster than previously thought. The results were published in the scientific journal ChemSusChem and selected as the cover story.
