Since 2006, SMILE - die gründungsinitiative has been working to establish the entrepreneurial spirit at Leipzig’s universities and research institutes. The project is being supported by the European Union, the Free State of Saxony and the participating institutions.
The Leipzig Founders' Night is a networking and award event for the regional start-up scene and acts as an important forum for innovative business ideas, successful start-ups and the exchange of experiences between entrepreneurs in the City of Leipzig and the districts of Leipzig and North Saxony. The aim is to promote a positive climate for start-ups in our region and to encourage self-employment. The Leipzig Founders' Night 2022 was organized by the partners City of Leipzig, SMILE - die gründungsinitiative, the districts of Leipzig and North Saxony, the Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig and Startbahn 13 - Die Gründungsberatung at the HTWK Leipzig.
