The 2022 edition of the Online Marketing Challenge (OMC) came to an end in the best way. Students from higher education institutions in Saxony participated in this competition in which they take on the challenge of creating digital marketing campaigns for companies from different industries in the region with a budget of 500 euros.
This year's winners were Fabio Díaz, from Colombia, and Luis Reynoso, from Mexico, for their outstanding campaign designed for the company, dedicated to developing digital documentation solutions for healthcare institutions such as hospitals and clinics.
Both winners are part of the SEPT Competence Center family: Luis is a student of our MBA focused on SMEs and Fabio recently graduated from the same program.
The OMC is organized by the SEPT Competence Center, the SAXON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, and the Fachkräfteallianz in alliance with TU Dresden and HTWK Dresden, and its objective is to merge the academic world and the business world by setting up a safe atmosphere where students and firms can work together to develop mutual knowledge and gain practical experience in a dynamic and competitive environment.
"It was a very good experience for us. Good communication with and support from the company was key from the beginning. We as a team participating in the competition and the company were very committed to give our best. I think this competition is interesting since it allows students to apply what they have learned in class in practical cases with real companies. It definitely adds value to what they have learned at the university," said Fabio.
