Students, graduates, entrepreneurs, and teaching staff from all over the world can participate and obtain a certificate through the Atingi platform.

The free online course "Bio-Biz: Business Models for Sustainable Use of Biodiversity", developed by the SEPT Competence Center, is now also available in French on the Atingi platform.

In this course, participants will learn how to develop sustainable business models, considering both prior business training and the importance of preserving the biodiversity of our planet that provides valuable resources to society and the economy.

Some of the topics included in the course are Business Modeling, Nagoya Protocol, Biodiversity, and Sustainability.

Bio-biz is aimed at students, professionals, and faculty in the fields of management, entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and other related fields. Basic knowledge of management and economic principles is required.

The course was developed within the framework of the ABSbio Project at the SEPT Competence Center of the University of Leipzig with the external support of Alfredo Suvelza. The development of the course was financed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The time to be invested in the course is approximately 40 hours (2 weeks of intensive self-study) and is equivalent to 5 points in the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). And participants who successfully complete the course will receive a digital certificate in PDF format.
