We are pleased to offer the PhD students of our faculty and the Saxon PhD Program, two short workshops in November.

The first will be given by Associate Professor Alexander Edeling (KU Leuven, Belgium) on Meta-Analysis in Business Research on Mon, Nov 8, 2021, 10:30-12:00 via Zoom. Meta-analyses, along with literature review papers, are an important building block in summarizing empirical research findings. The lecturer has already published two comprehensive meta-analyses himself in the highest ranked journals (A+ JOURQUAL Rating) and is thus excellently qualified to present to you the "state of the art" of this methodology.

The second will be by Professor Heiner Evanschitzky (The University of Manchester, UK) on Scale Development in Survey Research on Mon, Nov 22, 2021, 10:30-12:00 via Zoom. When studying new phenomena, it is a regular occurrence that new scales are needed for measurement via surveys. However, developing a scale is not trivial. The lecturer has already published on this topic in the highest ranking journals (A+ JOURQUAL Rating) and can therefore give you an excellent introduction to scale development.
