Issue 27/3 of EM published

Volume 27, Issue 3, August 2017 of Electronic Markets has been published and for the second time this year we can present a double special issue to our readers. The first special issue focuses on "Service-oriented E-Business development", a topic being introduced by the guest editors Doug Vogel, Jing Zhao, Zhen Zhu, Xitong Guo and Jianqing Chen. The second special issue is titled "Big data analytics in electronic markets" and was guest edited by Eric W. T. Ngai, Angappa Gunasekaran, Samuel Fosso Wamba, Shahriar Akter and Rameshwar Dubey. The relationship between both special issue themes is reflected in the editorial "Electronic Markets on big data services" by our editors-in-chief Rainer Alt and Hans-Dieter Zimmermann.

Additionally, the articles A computer-based approach for analyzing consumer demands in electronic word-of-mouth by Chung-Yi Lin, Shu-Yi Liaw, Chao-Chun Chen, Mao-Yuan Pai, Yuh-Min Chen and Predicting user behavior in electronic markets based on personality-mining in large online social networks by Ricardo Buettner are available as open access papers.
