Issue 29/3 of Electronic Markets published

The latest issue (issue 29/3) of Electronic Markets is now published and features a collection of fourteen articles in the broader context of digital transformation. The Editorial presents an overview on digital transformation methodologies and identifies the role of the individual and design-oriented research as important areas within the field of digital transformation. Both areas are elaborated on in the two special themes included in this issue. The first is on "Digitization of the Individual" and was guest edited by Christian Matt, Manuel Trenz, Christy M. K. Cheung and Ofir Turel. It describes how digital solutions differ at the individual level (or at the user level) and what effects this could have on the development of these solutions. The second targets "Design Science Research in the Networked Economy" and was organized by Jan vom Brocke and Alexander Mädche. It sheds light on vital methodological aspects for the future development of a digital transformation discipline. Each guest editor team introduces the articles in their special issue in a separate prefaces. In addition, issue 29/3 comprises four contributions in the general research section and six of all articles are available as Open Access articles via SpringerLink. We wish to thank all who participated in this issue!
