Participation at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

 

The head of the Chair of Energy Management and Sustainability has contributed to the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 2008. As a coordinating lead author he has been responsible for the chapter on Energy Systems within the 3rd volume on "Mitigation" of the 5th Assessment Report of the IPCC.

Further contributions to the 5th Assessement Report of the IPCC coomprise:

Between 2008 and 2011 Professor Bruckner has contribted as a lead author to the following chapters of the Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation (SRREN) :

Prior to the SRREN, Prof. Bruckner was one of the "Contributing Authors" for Chapter 19 "Vulnerability to Climate Change and Reasons for Concern: A Synthesis" of the Second Part of the Third Assessment Report of the IPCC which was published in 2001. In addition, he was one of the reviewers for the Second and Third Part of the Fourth Assessment Report.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was jointly established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP).
